Submission of a manuscript of the work (article, review, expert opinion, or other material) to the journal “Theory and Practice of Intellectual Property” (hereinafter referred to as the journal) confirms the fact of acceptance by the author (each of the co-authors) of the terms of the Agreement listed below:
1. The author (each of the co-authors) grants the founder of the journal permission under a non-exclusive license to use the submitted work as follows:
1.1. publication in one issue of the journal, including pre-publication editorial processing of the manuscript, its minor abridgement if necessary, and literary proofreading;
1.2. distribution of printed copies of the issue of the journal, which includes work, the number of copies of which is determined by the founder;
1.3. distribution of an electronic copy of the work, both as part of the electronic copy of the issue of the journal in which it is included, and separately by posting it on the website of the journal and any scientific databases, repositories, and other resources determined by the founder of the journal.
2. The permission referred to in clause 1 is granted for the entire term of validity of copyright in the work, in all countries of the world, on a non-refundable basis and cannot be revoked after the work is published. The author (each of the co-authors) retains all exclusive copyright to the work unless otherwise provided by the law of the country of the author (co-authors).
3. The author (each of the co-authors) grants the founder of the journal permission to process and use the personal data provided in the text of the work, as well as the title and the abstract of the article in connection with the placement of the work on the website of the journal, in scientific databases, repositories and other resources determined by the founder of the journal, including compliance with the requirements of the Ukrainian legislation on a mandatory copy of documents.
4. The author (each of the co-authors) guarantees that the submitted manuscript of the work:
4.1. has not been previously published as an independent work or as part of another work in any language;
4.2. is not under consideration by the editorial board of another journal;
4.3. prepared in compliance with the copyright of other persons and the requirements of academic integrity;
4.4. prepared in accordance with the journal’s AI usage policy;
4.4. does not contain any information whose dissemination is prohibited or restricted by the laws of the country of the author (each of the co-authors).
5. The author (each of the co-authors) retains the right to use the work in further scientific and/or educational activities without the consent of the editorial board and the founder of the journal but with the obligatory bibliographic reference and/or hyperlink to the electronic copy of the work on the journal’s website and/or indication of the article’s DOI.
6. The author (each of the co-authors) retains the right to use the manuscript of the work and the published version of the work for self-archiving in accordance with the journal’s archiving policy.
7. The author (each of the co-authors) bears legal responsibility for the content of the work, the accuracy of the data presented, the accuracy of the quotations given, the conscientious use of borrowings, and compliance with the requirements of academic integrity.
