In this regard, the issues of acquisition of rights by subjects in the sphere of the online media, as well as their observance of copyright and related rights of other persons, are relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The primary subjectis the author of a work, including a journalist, the performer, the phonogram or videogram producer. The author proves that labour and civil law relations may arise between subjects in the sphere of the online media and authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The article notes that the creation and operation of the online media do not require a large staff, unlike the print and audiovisual media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Authors (authors of texts, photojournalists, directors, cameramen, web designers, etc.) participate in the creation of the digital content. The relationship between subjects in the sphere of the online media and authors may be formalised by concluding civil law contracts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The peculiarity of concluding agreements in the sphere of media is that agreements on the use of a work in periodicals (newspapers, magazines, online media, etc.) may be concluded orally. The author describes the cases when an agreement is concluded orally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is proven that the activities of subjects in the sphere of the online media, as well as the other media, are directly related to the sphere of copyright and related rights. Despite this fact, the Law on Media mentions copyright only for the spheres of the audiovisual media.
